Orchids are cultivated as one of the cut flowers at the Centre of Excellence in Thally. They are grown using protected cultivation methods within Poly green houses. Advanced techniques demonstrated include sprinkler irrigation for Dendrobium Orchids and soil-less cultivation using Coconut Husk. This cultivation is part of the centre's demonstration cum production activities.
